§ 1 Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts between Taste the Heights (Andreas Wunderer) and consumers and businesses regarding cooking classes, events, private cooking services, consulting services, and the purchase of products (food, gift certificates, digital content) via tastetheheights.com.

§ 2 Conclusion of the Contract

A binding contract is formed upon completion of the online booking/order. You will receive a confirmation email as proof of the contract.

§ 3 Prices and Payment

All prices are final and include the applicable sales tax. Payment can be made by credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer, as indicated during checkout.

§ 4 Gift Certificates

  • Gift certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
  • Cash payouts are not available.
  • Vouchers are transferable but cannot be split.
  • If the coupon code is lost, there is no right to a replacement.

§ 5 Cooking Classes & In-Person Events — Booking & Cancellation

Minimum number of participants: Cooking classes are held with a minimum of 4 people. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the class will be rescheduled (not canceled). We will notify you at least 7 days before the class and offer an alternative date or a full refund.

Maximum number of participants: Fine Dining Experience: up to 8 people · Alpine Basics: up to 10 people.

Cancellation Policy (cancellations by customers subject to a fee):

  • Up to 14 days before the appointment: free of charge
  • 4 to 13 days before the date: 50% of the course fee
  • Less than 3 days before the date: 100% of the course fee

You may reschedule to a different date once, free of charge, up to 7 days before the course begins.

Right of Withdrawal: Cooking classes and in-person events are recreational activities with fixed dates. Pursuant to Article 59(l) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (implemented in Italy by Legislative Decree 21/2014), there is no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for such services. Only the cancellation schedule above applies.

§ 6 Private Chef & Private Dining — Booking & Cancellation

Minimum charge: Private dining events are available for groups of 2 or more. For bookings of fewer than 4 people, a minimum charge of €500 applies, plus travel expenses if applicable (€0.40/km outside the Vinschgau Valley). All details will be arranged personally following your inquiry.

Cancellation: Free of charge up to 7 days before the agreed date. After that, 50% of the agreed fee; for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, 100% of the agreed fee.

§ 7 Online Courses (Zoom Masterclasses) — Cancellation

By purchasing an online course, you expressly agree that the course may begin immediately and that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as you have gained access to the content (Art. 59(a) of the EU Distance Selling Directive). You provide this binding consent at checkout.

§ 8 Food & Products

Food products (e.g., Alpine Pure Bone Broth) are subject to statutory warranty rights. For hygiene reasons, returns are only accepted if the product is in its undamaged, unopened original packaging and a defect has been verified.

§ 9 Liability

We assume unlimited liability for intentional acts and gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of material contractual obligations and only to the extent of foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. Liability for consequential damages or lost profits is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

§ 10 Data Protection

§ 11 Dispute Resolution

We are not obligated and are not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

§ 12 Governing Law

The laws of the Italian Republic apply. For consumers, the mandatory consumer protection regulations of the respective EU member state also apply.
